Video sessions inside Telegram

An online session is usually stitched together from several services: the link lives in one, the booking in another, notes in a third, the next appointment in a fourth. In CognitEase, the video session runs inside your bot, together with booking, payment, MAC cards and the client’s dossier. Your client installs nothing, and you have nothing to forward or retype.

An in-app call: the other person full screen, your video in the corner, mic, camera and background blur at the bottom

When the video call lives apart from everything else

  • Five minutes before the session, you’re hunting for the link you sent this client and create a new one just in case.
  • Your client writes, “Zoom wants me to update,” and the session starts ten minutes late.
  • Halfway through the session, you realize you don’t remember when you started and glance at the clock.
  • The session is over. You close Zoom, open your notes, then your calendar, then your messenger to book the client’s next session.

A call inside the session

Links, passwords, “please update the app”: part of every session goes to technical fuss, and people get used to it. In CognitEase, your client joins the session from the same bot they booked through, and you join from your schedule. No links, no installs, no walking anyone through it over the phone.

After the call, a second job usually begins: write down what you agreed on, schedule the next session, remember the homework. Here all of that stays inside the session. You book the next appointment right in the call, and once you hang up, your note, a draft clinical note of the conversation and homework for the client are already waiting for you.

Before joining, the client sees themselves on camera and accepts the confidentiality terms

What a built-in call gives you

  • No links, no installs.

Your client doesn’t look for a link or install an app, and you don’t create a meeting or forward anything.

  • Clients can join from a computer.

A client at a work laptop or without Telegram at hand can join the same session from a browser.

  • Session timer.

You keep track of time without glancing at the clock. The client doesn’t see the timer.

  • Session tools at hand.

MAC cards and booking the next session are available right in the call, without switching apps.

  • The conversation goes into the client’s dossier.

Recording happens only when you decide, and only as audio. After the session, a draft clinical note and homework are ready. Video is never recorded.

  • A calm wrap-up.

Your session note is waiting right after the call. If the client doesn’t show up, you mark the no-show without any back-and-forth.

Why the call lives inside the bot.

The call knows who you’re talking to.

The call is tied to a specific client’s booking, so your note, the draft clinical note, homework and the next appointment all land in that client’s dossier. You don’t label anything, sort it into folders or move it from one app to another. Six months later, you open the client and see the whole history of your work together in order.

Client consent is on record.

Before every session, the client accepts the privacy policy, and that acceptance is tied to the specific session. You can tell your client with confidence that they agree to the terms before each session.

Glitches don’t break the session.

If the client’s internet is weak, video quality drops but the conversation goes on. After a brief dropout, the connection comes back without rejoining. If Telegram won’t open, the client joins from a browser. And if you forget to end the session, it won’t stay open forever. None of these cases requires messaging the client.

Who it’s for.

Psychologists whose clients don’t want to install “yet another app,” and those who run several sessions back to back and don’t want to switch anything in between. Also for anyone who wants the conversation to become part of the dossier right away, not a file on a drive.

Questions about the call.

Is this a Telegram call?

No. It’s a video call inside the CognitEase app, which opens in Telegram. It doesn’t depend on Telegram calls, works the same way in a browser and supports session tools such as MAC cards.

Is video recorded?

No, never. Only audio is recorded, only after you tap “Start session,” and only if you’ve turned on transcription. The audio is deleted right after transcription, and the transcript is deleted after analysis.

What if the client’s internet is weak?

The call adapts to the connection: on a weak link, video quality drops, but the conversation isn’t interrupted. A brief dropout doesn’t require rejoining, and you don’t have to restart anything. If the connection is lost completely, the client returns to the same session, and the whole conversation goes into the analysis. Audio runs with echo and noise suppression, so the kitchen behind your client stays out of the picture.

Do I need Zoom as a backup?

No. If Telegram won’t open for your client, they join the same session via a link in a regular browser.

Can I run sessions from my computer?

Yes. Open the bot in Telegram on your computer: the call works the same way, with background blur, the timer and MAC cards. Your client can be anywhere, on a phone or in a browser.

The session happens in one place, and everything from it stays in the client’s dossier.
